admin A membrane called mesothelium, surrounding the heart, abdomen and lungs can get affected by a cancer called mesothelioma. This cancer is of three types, pleural mesothelioma which affect the mesothelium surrounding the lungs, pericardial mesothelioma which affects mesothelium surrounding the heart and perinoteal mesothelioma which affects the mesothelium surrounding the stomach.
Effects of this deadly cancer can be seen even after 30 to 40 years after initial exposure! It remains dormant in the body, till then. This is one reason why mesothelioma cancer is generally detected mainly in older people. Out of all the cancers, mesothelioma cancer is one of the most aggressive and most painful.
